The 2016-17 Louisiana Economic Outlook report shows the state’s economy will continue to feel the effects of low oil prices over the next two years, but industrial booms in certain areas will create major job growth. The forecast projects, overall, Louisiana will add 15,400 jobs in 2016 and 19,600 in 2017.
