We are seeking a Study Support Associate (EXP) for our Insourcing Solutions site located Ashburn, VA.
The following are responsibilities related to the SSA:

This is your opportunity to join our dedicated team of research technicians supporting top neuroscience researchers from around the globe at one of the nation s premiere research facilities. The research campus is located in Ashburn Virginia, a reasonable commute from Northern VA, DC, WVA and parts of MD.
Your primary role will include providing technical research services directly supporting the research protocols, working in partnership with research staff members in the conduct of biomedical research to include:
Uses established database systems to manage and track breeding and experimental animals on protocols. Performs animal husbandry and animal care support services (e.g. providing feed, water, clean cages, and daily observations of each animal). Receives, examines and properly houses incoming animal shipments. Cleans and sanitizes animal rooms and support areas. Provides environmental enrichment appropriate to the species housed; provides other minor technical support (e.g. restraining animals, collecting blood, performing injections, and clinical treatments) as directed. Utilize database for animal recordkeeping, including but not limited to, animal housing and study support. Maintain and record appropriate data for all duties completed. Assist with receiving, stocking and maintenance of all supply inventories. May assist in animal behavioral studies. Comply with safety policies and procedures and MSDS guidelines, including those related to biohazards and radioactive substances.
Education: High School Diploma and a minimum of two years of post-high school education.
Experience: Minimum one year experience working in a research animal facility and performing minor technical procedures including, but not limited to, injections and bleeding of rodents.
Certification/Licensure: Achievement of AALAS ALAT certification required within one year of hire.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
