Congratulations to Jobs2Careers‘ VP of Corporate Development, Shelly Mudd, on her Austin Business Journal 2015 “Profiles in Power & Women of Influence” award nomination! A Profile in Power is a working woman of distinction that has gained recognition because she is a successful business owner or member of top management with a company or organization of any size and has given back to her community.
Judges will also select one Rising Star, which will honor a woman under 30 for her achievements thus far and up to five outstanding candidates will be named the 2015 Profiles in Power. These announcements will be made at an upcoming reception on Friday, August 7th. Gay Gaddis, CEO and Founder of T3, will be the keynote speaker.
Since being hired by Jobs2Careers CEO Bruce Ge in 2011, Shelly has been instrumental in growing the company from 2 employees to 65 and counting. Shelly was nominated for this award due to this leadership and also her strong community involvement outside the office.
She joins fellow nominees Lynn Atchison of HomeAway, Starr Baker of INK Public Relations, Kelly Ballard of BazaarVoice and Roberta Lang of Whole Foods Market.
Sam is a former Washingtonian who spent the first 10 years of her marketing career working in the science, nonprofit, and publishing fields. She moved to Austin in 2015 for the thriving tech scene, abundant breakfast tacos, and beautiful swimming holes.
