When Flextime Isn’t Working hbr.org

Two colleagues and I performed a study of 88 managers and executives in 20 companies across six business sectors in the US and Canada. Merck, Unilever, Starbucks, and the Bank of Montreal were among the organizations we looked at. We found that companies that offered flextime saw significant payoffs: better retention of high performers, greater productivity and efficiency, and improved team functioning.
