Breaking down and setting up tooling for the machining centers
A minimum of 1-2 years of prior experience working in a machine shop tool room and/or good working knowledge of CNC machining and tooling highly preferred
Maintains a clean, organized, and functional tool room and storage system in accordance with proper 5S practices
Technical Degree in machining preferred, currently enrolled in machining courses is acceptable
Kneel/Squat- 0-33% during a 10/12-hour shift
Sets up necessary tooling for machinists prior to machining operations
Lift/Carry- 0-10 lbs. continuously
Ladder/Stair- 0-33% during a 10/12-hour shift
Push/Pull- 0-25 lbs. continuously
Performs inventory checks on replenishable tooling on a routine basis
Bend- 34-66% during a 10/12-hour shift
Basic experience with Microsoft Xcel, Word, and Outlook
Twist/Turn- 34-66% during a 10/12-hour shift
Sit- 0-33% during a 10/12-hour shift
Works with programmers and Shift Supervisor to troubleshoot tooling issues and provide technical support to machinists as needed
Tears down, inspect, and place used tooling in the appropriate locations
High school education or equivalent
Creates and maintains tooling lists for actively used machine programs
Observes safe work practices
Overhead Reaching- 0-33% during a 10/12-hour shift
Responsible for assisting with the production process in the machining department
Works with programmers and tool room coordinator to test potential tooling upgrades and new technology
Stand/Walk- 67-100% during a 10/12-hour shift
Stock good quality tooling back into the replenishment system
Inventory and stocking of the tool crib
Implements and maintains 5S projects in the tool room and machine shop
