Familiar with the operation of shop machinery (hoists, winches, pallet jacks, etc).
Self-motivated and flexible; willing to shift priorities as needed.
One (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical background and/or experience in mechanical assembly is durable.
High level attention to detail.
Able to work in a team environment; good interpersonal and communication skills.
Willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities as part of job and personal development.
Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.
High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED) is required.
Familiar with and utilizes power tools.
Familiar with and utilizes Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S and basic problem solving, and supports lean events as well as process improvements.
Mathematical skills: Basic shop math; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Familiar with and utilizes all hand tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.
Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, blueprints, drawings, etc.
