Three (3) plus years' experience in industrial facilities maintenance required, preferably experience with ammonia, plumbing, welding, electrical, machine tools and water and wastewater treatment.
Candidates will be required to take a Mechanical Skills Ramsay Assessment in order to be considered.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to work flexible hours if needed, including holidays.
Must be able to wear respirator and respond to ammonia alarms up to ammonia concentration specified by company.
Must pass ammonia operator training for levels one and two at Garden City Ammonia Program or equivalent.
Must pass Level 1 operator training within 6 months and level 2 within 18 months of starting Utilities positions.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods of time on concrete surface.
Must be able to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, reach, climb and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed to successfully perform job duties.
Must be able to work on multiple levels, such as catwalks, ladders, lifts, etc. & ability to work in extreme temperatures.
