Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing
Ability to read, understand, and speak basic English
Ability to apply common mathematical skills
Individuals who successfully passed the HEW (grandfathered) Med Techs Proficiency Examination for Medical Technologists
A clinical laboratory internship
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific documents
Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology or related science field from an accredited institution
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Demonstrated technical skills
Demonstrated dependability/flexibility in meeting scheduling needs of the department, unit, and hospital
Demonstrated ability to use/learn the computer system, word processing, e-mail, and applicable software programs
Less than 1 year of experience
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Must meet CLIA grandfathered medical technologist regulations
