The Department of Chemistry Physics and Atmospheric Sciences (CPAS) at Jackson State University in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology invites candidates to apply for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in experimental organic/medicinal chemistry. This position includes, but is not limited to organic synthesis, organic reaction development, natural products, physical organic chemistry, biochemistry, and medicinal chemistry.

Examples of Duties

* Successful candidates are expected to establish and sustain a vibrant research program funded externally, serve as effective teachers and mentors at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and provide service to the department, the university and the profession.

* Applicants must have a promising research agenda, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate student education and success.

Typical Qualifications

* Post-Doctoral research experience is required.
