This requirement will transfer to the TYCOM, from Commander Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP), which was established to provide centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management closely aligned with the Fleet, Surface Warfare Enterprise, and NAVSEA needs and priorities. Additionally, the Surface TYCOM plays a significant role in the maintenance and modernization of in-service ships throughout their life cycle. This role is centered on a complete, well-engineered, and continuously improving Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) that facilitates the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process, streamlines maintenance processing, develops maintenance strategies, and directly supports surface ship Expected Service Life (ESL) goals./ppReporting to the Program Manager, the Availability Work Package Manager (AWPM) supports Surface TYCOM maintenance and modernization programs by coordinating planning and execution, monitoring progress and costs, analyzing technical requirements, and preparing reports and briefings to ensure mission readiness and operational efficiency on the Availability Work Package Manager (AWPM) support services contract. We are hiring for this position in San Diego, CA./ph2What Youll Do/h2ulliSupport TYCOM staffs in the planning, scheduling, and tracking of surface ship maintenance and modernization./liliAssist with the planning and execution of Fleet alterations./liliMonitor progress of Mandatory Technical Requirements (MTRs) after turnover from SURFMEPP./liliProduce deferral and lock letters for TYCOM./liliReview cost estimates for repairs and alterations, including Business Case Analysis (BCA)./liliAnalyze and monitor Class, Fleet, and ISEA advisories./liliPrepare and deliver briefs, presentations, and After-Action Reports (AARs)./liliEnsure maintenance schedules address Departures from Specifications./liliBid and proposal support if requested./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh2What Were Looking For/h2pstrongRequired Qualifications:/strong/pulliAn active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position./liliBachelors degree from an accredited university in marine engineering, maintenance management, industrial engineering, or other maritime related field; OR a high school diploma with at least 10 of 15 years of experience acquired through in-depth, specialized knowledge in the related field./lili15+ years of experience supporting DoD/Navy program management, Industry or Government technical management, or Industry or Government business management./lili15+ years of experience supporting Surface, Submarine, or Aircraft Carrier maintenance and modernization planning and execution./liliMust possess intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (to include pivot tables, data manipulation, etc.)./liliMust possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills./liliDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)./liliStrong attention to detail and organizational skills./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliDemonstrated problem-solving skills./liliMust possess strong time management skills./liliMust be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment./liliMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future./li/ulpstrongDesired Qualifications:/strong/pulliPrior U.S. Navy experience as a Hull Maintenance Technician (HT), Machinists Mate (MM), Electricians Mate (EM), Engineman (EN), Damage Controlman (DC), Gas Turbine Systems Technician Mechanical (GSM), Gas Turbine Systems Technician Electrical (GSE) is desired./liliPrior U.S. Navy experience as a Maintenance Material Management Coordinator (3MC) or Division 3-M Assistant (3MA) is desired./liliPrior U.S. Navy experience as an Engineering Duty Officer (EDO) or qualification as an Engineering Officer of the Watch (EEOW) is highly desired./liliPrior experience supporting COMNAVSURFLANT (CNSL) and COMNAVSURFPAC (CNSP)./li/ulpstrongPhysical Requirements:/strong/pulliMust be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking./liliThe ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds./liliThe work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area or on-board submarines and in weapon facilities./li/ulpINDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay for this position is $39.78 per hour. The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
