This requirement will transfer to the TYCOM, from Commander Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP), which was established to provide centralized surface ship life cycle maintenance engineering, and class maintenance planning and management closely aligned with the Fleet, Surface Warfare Enterprise, and NAVSEA needs and priorities. Additionally, the Surface TYCOM plays a significant role in the maintenance and modernization of in-service ships throughout their life cycle.
