AlliedTravelCareers is working with KPG Healthcare to find a qualified Cath Lab Tech in Delaware!

KPG Healthcare is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist for a permanent position. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in assisting healthcare providers during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, contributing to accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients with cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise in Cath Lab procedures and commitment to patient care will make you an invaluable asset to our healthcare partners.
Description:

  • Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
  • Location: Dover, DE
  • Pay: By The Week, after 40,, Depending on experience
  • Shift Time: Full Time, Variable Shifts
  • Weekly Hours: 40

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program with a focus on cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology.
  • Certification: Current certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT equivalent.
  • Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Cath Lab Technologist is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating Cath Lab equipment and relevant software. Familiarity with various Cath Lab procedures and contrast administration.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication Skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality angiographic images and maintain accurate records.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and positioning patients as necessary, and assisting with physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cath Lab Procedures: Assist in a variety of cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Patient Care: Welcome and prepare patients for Cath lab procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the examination.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain Cath lab equipment, including X-ray machines, fluoroscopy units, and monitoring devices, ensuring proper functioning and performing routine quality control checks.
  • Contrast Administration: Administer contrast media as required for specific procedures, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Image Quality: Produce high-quality angiographic images by adjusting equipment settings as needed and ensuring patients are properly positioned.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks to patients, yourself, and colleagues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details, images, and relevant clinical information, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss patient histories and provide real-time assistance during procedures. Communicate effectively with patients to explain the cath lab process.
  • Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in Cath lab technology and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Cath lab services.
