About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with KPG Healthcare to find a qualified MRI Tech in Vermont!

KPG Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Tech for a permanent position. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, you will play a critical role in conducting magnetic resonance imaging scans, providing crucial diagnostic information to assist healthcare providers in patient care. Your expertise in MRI imaging and dedication to patient care will make you a valuable asset to our healthcare partners.
Description:

  • Specialty: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Tech
  • Location: Brattleboro, VT
  • Pay: 1.25 x Federal OT Rules (Over 40 hrs/week), Depending on experience
  • Shift Time: 7:30 AM-4:00 PM Thursday - Sunday (07:30AM - 04:00PM), 32 hours/week
  • Weekly Hours: 40

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program with a focus on MRI imaging.
  • Certification: Current certification as a Registerd MRI Technologist (ARRT - MR).
  • Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
  • Experience: Previous experience as an MRI Tech is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating MRI imaging equipment and relevant sofware. Familiarity with various MRI imaging protocols and contrast administration.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication Skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality MRI images and maintain accurate records.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and positioning patiences as necessary, and assisting with physically demanding tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MRI Scanning: Perform a wide range of MRI scans, including routine diagnostic, contrast-enhanced, and specialized scans, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Patient Care: Welcome and prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the examination.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain MRI imaging equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and performing routine quality control checks.
  • Contrast Administration: Administer contrast media as required for specific scans, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
  • Image Quality: Produce high-quality MRI images by adjusting equipment settings as needed and ensuring patients are properly positioned.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure risks to patients, yourself, and colleagues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, including images, exam details, and relevant clinical information while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss patient histories and provide preliminary findings as needed. Communicate effectively with patients to explain the MRI scanning process.
  • Continuing Education: Stay updated with the latest advancements in MRI imaging technology and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Quality Improvements: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of MRI imaging services.
