AlliedTravelCareers is working with KPG Healthcare to find a qualified Ultrasound in New Hampshire!

KPG Healthcare is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technician for a permanent position. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic images for healthcare professionals and patients. Your expertise in operating ultrasound equipment and your commitment to patient care will make you a valuable member of our healthcare team.
Description:

  • Specialty: Ultrasound / Sonography
  • Location: Claremont, NH
  • Pay: N/A, Depending on experience
  • Shift Time: 7:00 AM-5:30 PM 7a to 530p Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri
  • Weekly Hours: 40

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited ultrasound technology program.
  • Certification: Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent.
  • Licensure: State licensure or certification as required by the state of practice.
  • Experience: Prior experience as an Ultrasound Technician is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and relevant software. Familiarity with a variety of ultrasound modalities, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images and maintain accurate records.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting and positioning patients as necessary and standing for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Diagnostic Ultrasound Procedures: Conduct a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations to obtain high-quality images of patients' anatomy and assess their medical conditions.
  • Equipment Operation: Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment, including performing routine calibrations and quality control checks.
  • Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for examinations, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Maintain patient comfort and dignity throughout the process.
  • Image Quality Assurance: Review and analyze ultrasound images to ensure they meet diagnostic criteria. Make necessary adjustments to optimize image quality.
  • Record keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, including images, exam details, and any relevant clinical information. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
  • Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss patient histories and provide preliminary findings as needed. Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate concerns and explain the imaging process.
  • Safety and Infection Control: Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  • Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of ultrasound services.
