Description

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Tucson, AZ where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary servicesfollowing medical staff protocols and department policies. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas, maintaining airways, ventilator management, intubations, and blood gases.
Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
  • Current Arizona respiratory license in good standing. Do not submit without an AZ license.
  • Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT or RRT) as required by role.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification (required).
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Respiratory Therapist in ICU, general medical-surgical floors, and Emergency Department settings.
  • Experience with ventilator management, intubations, and arterial blood gas analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Neonatal ICU and pediatric experience sufficient to support ED coverage is preferred but minimal NICU/Peds experience is acceptable.
Assignment Details
  • Shift hours: 0630-1900.
  • Schedule pattern: 3x12.
  • Must be able to cover ICU, general floors, and ED.
