An urgent opening for an experienced Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is available for a specialty pharmacy located in the Boston, MA area. This contract-to-hire role requires a quick start and offers an opportunity to lead pharmacy operations with a strong focus on specialty medication management and regulatory compliance. Location: Boston, MA (Onsite) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with on-call weekend rotation Contract Duration: Initial 13 weeks with potential extension to 26 weeks Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee prescription review, verification, dispensing, and ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, URAC, ACHC, and other regulatory standards
• Provide patient counseling focused on specialty disease state medications
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, fostering a collaborative team environment
• Coordinate closely with Intake, Referral, Nursing/Clinical, Reimbursement, and Pharmacy Operations teams to ensure effective patient onboarding and prescription fulfillment
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records, support quality assurance activities, and manage incident resolution
• Participate in on-call rotation to support after-hours pharmacy needs

• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License required; Connecticut license preferred or willingness to obtain rapidly
• BS or PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in specialty, infusion, hospital, or similar pharmacy settings - retail-only experience will not be considered
• Strong understanding of specialty therapies, patient qualification, and payer requirements
• Familiarity with CareTend software preferred
• Experience supervising pharmacy technicians and managing pharmacy operations

• Excellent clinical judgment with in-depth knowledge of specialty medications
• Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pharmacy software systems
• Ability to work onsite and effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities
