Phone and onsite is a must. Need a Server Side Core Java developer. Do not need a front end developer. They need someone from top 50 universities, need solid problem solving capabilities, coming from equities/prime services background. Need solid Core Java, multi-threading, worked on distributed technologies. MongoDB would be a nice to have. Lastly, they will reject resumes with short duration assignments (at least recent experience).

The HM has gone through the resumes in the portal and candidates have either been selected for interviews or have been rejected. Please feel free to continue to submit candidates based on the below feedback. The rejections were mostly due to:

• Relevant work experience. They might have worked in investment banks etc, however they lacked server-side core Java development. There was a lot of GUI/Web/Web services/Front end developers in this selection of CVs. We are not looking for those.
• Educational degree was not up to scratch. We look for Bachelors from a good university but crucially something which has foundations in:
• Computer Science
• Engineering
• Maths
• We are willing to look at other scientific backgrounds too, like Physics and Chemistry.
• Stuff like "Information Technology" or "Computing" lacks the scientific aspect of computing, and we find that they struggle in the interviews.
• Generally science/engineering backgrounds do better in the interviews.

This is a global front-office team that supports the global OTC Equity Swap Portfolio, Single Name, and Index derivative businesses. We are designing a complete restructure of the Equity Swaps trading platform, and this particular role is within the core cashflow and valuations area. The role will require the candidate to work closely with the cashflow engines team to solve problems that combines both finance and technology. This is an exciting hands-on role for a self-starter who has a thirst for new challenges as well as new technologies.

The candidate should possess good analytical skills, strong software engineering skills, a logical approach to problem solving, be able to work in a fast paced environment liaising with demanding stakeholders to understand complex requirements, and be able to prioritize work under pressure with minimal supervision.

The role requires someone who is flexible, able to respond to a dynamic business environment, and able to take ownership and responsibility for the delivery of new features for a green field project. The candidate must be adaptable to work across multiple technologies and disciplines, with a focus on delivering quality solutions for the business in a timely fashion. This role suits people experienced in complex data domains.
