Experienced .Net Backend Developer

We are looking for an experienced .Net backend developer to help create a best-in-class optimization application for biogas.

Context of job Key accountabilities:

• The POM application analyses many supply and demand sources and calculates the optimal flow of biogas between them given a set of contractual and physical constraints.
• The application handles a significant share of biogas contracts, and it has been designed for use by both expert and non-experts alike.
• The POM consists of a frontend, a backend, and a model execution service (MES). This role will focus on the backend and requires a strong background in.Net/C# and in database technologies. Experience with serialisation protocols and cloud technologies would be an advantage.
• Take ownership of development and testing of different backend components, with full accountability and responsibility
• Work with other developers, Business Analysts, and testers as part of the wider POM Team.
• Contribute to the analysis, design and development of business processes and interfaces as they relate to the POM.

Essential Education:

• A numerate degree from a major university

Essential experience and job requirements:

• Previous experience in developing server-side.Net/C# systems is a MUST.
• Knowledge of C# language standards, generic interfaces, and functional programming using LINQ is a MUST.
• Experience in multithreaded high availability micro-service applications using SQL and No-SQL databases is a MUST.
• Strong focus on automated testing, and continuous integration/deployment is a MUST.
• Good communication skills are a MUST.

Desirable criteria & qualifications:

• Experience with protobuf and gRPC is a PLUS.
• Experience in finance, operations research or grid computing is a PLUS.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Redis is a PLUS.
• Delivery experience using Agile/Scrum and associated tools.
• Experience working with geographically remote business partners and teams
