Restaurant Food Expeditor Part-Time / $16.90hr. Including TIPS General Description: A Food Expeditor ensures the smooth and timely flow of orders from the servers to the kitchen, checks dishes for accuracy and presentation, assists in final dish preparation, maintains fast service, handles customer complaints, and upholds quality and sanitation standards. Responsibility: The primary responsibility of a restaurant expeditor is to ensure that orders get to their table as quickly and accurately as possible. The expeditor passes customer orders to the kitchen staff; once they are ready, then inspect the dish to confirm that it complies with restaurant food quality standards.

Open to cross training
Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment
Adhere to the sanitation process and procedures
Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
Learn the restaurant menu
Work with restaurant colleagues to create a positive dining experience for guests
Clear and sanitize all dirty tables after guest leave
Alert servers to guests in need of attention
Expeditors make sure the orders are being cooked in a timely fashion, so that all orders for a table are ready at the same time and make sure that once the food is cooked, servers run food to the table while it's warm and ready
Knowledge and Experience
Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs.)
Knowledge of Point of Sales System
Demonstrate customer-service skills
Understanding of restaurant etiquette
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills with ability to monitor the entire dining area
