Description

Make an impact providing occupational therapy services to students ages 3-22 with diverse and complex needs in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity includes both a full-year assignment and a maternity leave position, with the latter projected to begin in August and concludein March. Flexibility and self-motivation are essential, as you'll manage fluctuating caseloads independently and travel between school sites to meet student needs. Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and active California OT license
  • Demonstrated experience working in California school settings
  • Proven competency administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments to students with multiple disabilities
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven recommendations, especially when addressing parent concerns regarding services
  • Ability to work autonomously in the field, managing your own schedule in alignment with district priorities
  • Experience supporting K-12 students, ranging from mild to severe needs
  • Flexibility to accommodate changing caseloads and responsibilities, including itinerant assignments
  • Preferred skills: Bilingual Spanish (not required)
  • Only licensed OTs will be considered; this role requires independent work without OTA supervision
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough occupational therapy evaluations and consultations tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Travel between schools to provide services directly where students need support
  • Regularly report on student progress and contribute critical insights to IEP and parent meetings
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with school and regulatory standards
