Description

The physical therapist will accurately assess,differentially diagnosis, and identify deficits in a patient's ability to moveand perform functional activities in their daily lives. They develop an individualized treatment planwith patient-centered goals to reduce pain, restore function, and preventdisability and work with the individual to prevent the loss of mobility.
Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Performs patient evaluations through the processof obtaining history, performing relevant systems review, and selecting andadministering specific tests and measures to obtain data.
  • Establishes an individualized plan of care andselects treatment techniques that addresses the specific impairments identifiedin the evaluation and in accordance with physician orders.
  • Conducts ongoing reassessment of the patient andtheir response to treatment.
  • Initiates and manages the discharge planbeginning at the first visit and continuing throughout treatment.
  • Supervises and delegates to ancillary staff andstudents consistent with state laws and department policy.
Required:
  • Graduate of an accredited program of physicaltherapy.
  • Current state Board of Physical Therapylicensure.
  • BLS certification.
Preferred:
  • One year of physical therapist experience.
