Transportation Engineer, PE
Tetra Tech is adding a Transportation Engineer, PE to our Transportation team based in Plano, Texas. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role while contributing to the planning, design, and delivery of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects for public-sector clients across Texas.

The Transportation Engineer, PE supports the design and delivery of roadway and transportation infrastructure projects in Texas. This role contributes to project planning, engineering design, and coordination efforts while working closely with project managers, technical specialists, and clients to deliver high-quality, compliant transportation solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas. Minimum of 6 years of relevant transportation engineering experience. Proficiency with MicroStation. Familiarity with applicable transportation engineering manuals, standards, and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multitasking, deadline-driven environment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Experience working with TxDOT and local Texas municipalities. Proficiency with OpenRoads Designer. Experience assisting with proposal writing and business development efforts. Experience with the design of a variety of project types including reconstruction, widening, operational, safety, multi-modal, and maintenance projects.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to occasionally lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds. Ability to perform field observations and site visits as required.
Primarily office-based work environment with periodic field visits. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions during site visits. Collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting.
Employment Type: Full-time, regular position. Work Location: Plano, Texas. Travel Requirements: Periodic travel anticipated, approximately 25% or more. Work Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility based on project needs.
