Job Summary:

Performs advanced purchasing activities to procure materials, components, and services required for operations. Responsible for supplier coordination, expediting, cost optimization, and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate annual agreements.

  • Plan and monitor inventory levels.

  • Follow established procedures, practices and policies to contact vendors, obtain quotations. Examine bids, make awards, place orders and expedite delivery of goods/services.

  • Exercise judgment and working knowledge of materials and sources of supply to make purchase at a price consistent with quality, quantity, and scheduling requirements

Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of MRP systems (Oracle EBS / ASCP preferred)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in supplier negotiation

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience 7+ years of manufacturing purchasing experience

Work Environment:

  • Possible exposure to production environment through equipment electrical hazards

Travel:

  • Limited as needed
