Doorman
The Doorman is responsible for managing the entrance of a building or establishment, ensuring a welcoming and secure environment for residents, guests, and visitors. This role involves a combination of customer service, security, and administrative duties to maintain the smooth operation of the building's entrance.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Greet residents, guests, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide information about the building, its amenities, and the local area.
Security:
- Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter.
- Check identification and verify the credentials of visitors and service personnel.
- Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to the building management or security team.
Operational Duties:
- Assist with emergency procedures and evacuations as needed.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate logs of visitors, and security incidents.
- Communicate effectively with building management and maintenance teams.
- Perform routine inspections of the entrance area to ensure cleanliness and order.
Maintenance of Appearance:
- Ensure the entrance and surrounding areas are clean, well-lit, and free of obstructions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
- Previous experience in a customer service or security role is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry items up to a certain weight (25 lbs.).
- Dexterity to operate electronic devices and access control systems.
Work Environment
- The role typically involves working in an outdoor environment, but may require time inside in various weather conditions.
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the building's operational hours.
