The Receiving & Restocking Associate plays a vital hands-on role in supporting the daily operations of receiving, inventory organization, and product restocking across the nursery. This full-time position ensures the timely, accurate, and efficient flow of incoming shipments from delivery to retailfloor and greenhouse areas. This role is physically active and primarily outdoors, requiring consistent lifting of 50-70 lbs. and movement throughout the property. The Associate works closely with the Receiving & Restocking Manager and team to maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready environment. Assist with unloading deliveries and verifying shipments against purchase orders
Inspect incoming merchandise (especially plant material) for quality and accuracy
Label and organize inventory accurately upon arrival
Support timely restocking of inventory across retail, greenhouse, and nursery departments
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving and storage area
Safely operate equipment such as tractors, golf carts, and basic landscape tools
Communicate stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to management
Assist with inventory counts and stock organization throughout the year
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth product flow and positive customer experience
Maintain a strong work ethic, accountability, and teamwork at all times
Qualifications:
Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, nursery, or inventory roles preferred
Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
Ability to regularly lift 50-70 lbs. without strain
Strong stamina and ability to remain on feet for extended periods
Basic knowledge of irrigation, plumbing, or landscape maintenance tools is a plus
Ability to safely operate tractors, golf carts, or similar equipment preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude with a "Can Do" mindset
Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team
Spanish-speaking ability is a plus
