Position Summary: The Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations in a high-volume setting, ensuring accurate dispensing of medications, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This role requires the ability to operate independently while supporting both retail and long-term care pharmacy services.Key Responsibilities:
Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications
Oversee daily pharmacy operations across retail and long-term care services
Supervise and direct pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow
Manage inventory, ordering, and medication stock levels
Ensure accurate billing and claims processing
Provide clinical support including chart reviews and medication recommendations
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions
Monitor and manage high prescription volumes effectively
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
Required Qualifications:
Active Pharmacist license in the state of practice
Strong knowledge of retail and long-term care pharmacy operations
Ability to work independently in a high-volume setting
Experience managing staff and pharmacy workflows
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in combo pharmacies (retail + long-term care)
Experience with inventory management and pharmacy billing systems
Strong clinical knowledge and experience with chart reviews
Work Environment:

High-volume operations with large staff oversight
Schedule: Typically 7 days on / 7 days off (flexible)
