Funds for this position are expected to be available up to the end of the school year. A Letter of Assurance will be issued for this position./ppJob Goal: Provide flexibility in meeting campus needs by assisting in the office and/or in the classrooms as determined by the principal./ppTerms of Employment: Length of Work Year Salary: 187 days Paraprofessional 030 pay scale/ppQualifications:/ppEducation/Certification:/pulliEducational Aide I Paraprofessional Certificate/liliHigh School Diploma or GED/li/ulpSpecial Knowledge/Skills:/pulliAbility to work will with children/liliAbility to use/learn basic computer applications/liliKnowledge of general office equipment/liliEffective communication and interpersonal skills/li/ulpExperience: Experience working with children/students or parents/ppMajor Responsibilities and Duties:/polliPerform receptionist/clerical duties in the office as assigned/liliWork with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional exercises as assigned/liliMaintain confidentiality of information/liliAssist in maintaining a neat and orderly work environment/liliAssist in supervising students throughout the school day as needed/liliAssist in the maintenance of administrative records and preparation of reports as required/liliAssist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment as assigned/liliAssist in preparing materials/displays for instruction or campus operations/liliParticipate in staff development programs, faculty meetings, and special events, as required/li/olpEquipment Used: Copier, multi-line telephone, facsimile, audiovisual equipment, and computer/peripherals/ppWorking Conditions:/ppMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:/ppMaintain emotional control under stress/ppWork with frequent interruptions/ppFrequent requests to complete work in restrictive timeframes/ppMay include a lot of Standing, stooping, bending/ppMay be required to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance/ppSafety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal protective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety./ppThe information contained in this job description is for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and foregoing statements describe the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills that may be required.
