divh2System Administrator Level 2/h2pAs a System Administrator Level 2 at Independent Software, you will provide advanced support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems supporting mission-critical operations. You will manage and optimize system infrastructure, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and operating at peak performance. You will take a more active role in system administration activities, including in-depth troubleshooting, performance optimization, and supporting escalated issues. You will work closely with users, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient system operations and continuous improvement./ph3Key Responsibilities:/h3ulliProvide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems/liliMonitor system performance and perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis/liliProvide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, with ownership of escalated issues/liliSupport day-to-day operations of client/server, storage, network, and mobile devices/liliInstall, configure, and manage Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems/liliMaintain system integrity through patching, updates, and configuration management/liliOptimize system performance and resource utilization/liliPerform system capacity analysis and planning/liliProvide detailed analysis and feedback on escalated technical issues/liliSupport dispatch systems and hardware troubleshooting as needed/liliMaintain and update system documentation and procedures/liliCommunicate status and issues to management and stakeholders/li/ulh3Required Skills and Qualifications:/h3ulliExperience supporting and administering IT systems in a system administrator role/liliStrong knowledge of Linux/UNIX and/or Windows operating systems/liliExperience performing in-depth troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues/liliFamiliarity with IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage)/liliAbility to manage and resolve escalated support issues/liliUnderstanding of system performance monitoring and optimization/liliStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills/liliAbility to work independently and in a team environment/li/ulh3Education and Experience:/h3ulliBachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university/liliTen (10) years of System Administrator experience on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity/li/ulpOR/pulliFive (5) additional years of System Administrator experience may be substituted for a degree/li/ulh3Certifications:/h3ulliDoD 8570.01-M compliant with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II/li/ulh3Clearance Requirement:/h3ulliMust possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role/li/ulpWhy Choose Independent Software: At Independent Software, our people are the mission.
