Position: Optometrist Location: Saginaw, MI

Position Overview

The Optometrist will provide comprehensive eye care services, manage ocular disease, and participate in pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients. This role is ideal for an optometrist who values clinical excellence, teamwork, and long-term patient relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive eye examinations

Diagnose and manage ocular diseases, including:

Glaucoma

Diabetic retinopathy

Macular degeneration

Dry eye disease

Provide pre- and post-operative care in collaboration with ophthalmology

Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and therapeutic treatments

Accurately document care in the electronic medical record

Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term eye health

Collaborate closely with technicians, optical staff, and physicians to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school

Licensed or board-eligible in the state of Michigan

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication and patient care skills

Interest in medical optometry and surgical co-management

Prior medical or clinical experience preferred but not required
