Responsibilities

  1. Identifies project related risks and proactively plans for their mitigation
  2. Coordinates with the project team discipline leaders regarding fee preparation
  3. Prepares fee proposals
  4. Prepares and negotiates client and subcontractor contracts
  5. Develops schedules and project plans
  6. Communicates relevant information with the project team
  7. Monitors the project team's progress against plan
  8. Ensures all project deliverables go through a detailed technical QA/QC review
  9. Monitors subconsultant work progress against contract
  10. Maintains frequent contact with the client
  11. Identifies changes in scope to prepare and coordinate requests for additional services
  12. Fosters positive relations with clients, subcontractors, and contractors
  13. Resolves project related disputes in a prompt, professional manner
  14. Coordinates project billing with the accounting department
  15. Monitors the collection of fees from clients.
  16. Provides feedback to the Director of Operations regarding performance and work quality of project teammates
  17. Leads project kick off and regular project team meetings
  18. Establishes project scope with the client and attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development

Qualifications

  • 15 + years of project management experience
  • Large project experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Interior Design from an accredited college or university

General Characteristics

  • Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to become involved in and remain current on issues relating to a number of concurrent projects in various stages
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization with a strong team-oriented approach
  • Exceptional client management, customer service orientation, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills
