About the Role We are seeking an Infectious Disease Physician who provides reasonable and prudent medical care, exercises sound clinical judgment, and practices appropriate patient management grounded in best-practice standards and evidence-based medicine. This physician delivers high-quality medical services within the full scope of their licensure, training, and credentialing, ensuring safe, ethical, and effective care for all patients. Key Responsibilities
Conducts comprehensive medical evaluations, education, and treatment.
Maintains patient confidentiality in compliance with agency, state, and HIPAA laws.
Assesses medical and psycho-social histories, performs physical exams, identifies problems, formulates treatment plans, provides education and referrals, and evaluates intervention effectiveness.
Orders and interprets laboratory tests, reports communicable diseases to the Health Department as per protocol.
Prescribes appropriate medication.
Implements standardized evaluations or assessments with a multidisciplinary team.
Ensures complete, timely, and accurate documentation.
Understands medical emergency procedures and the location of emergency supplies.
Participates in continuing medical education to enhance professionalism and quality of care.
Provides on-call coverage as scheduled.
Maintains good working relationships with community agencies.
Attends and participates in team conferences, huddles, and required trainings.
Required Qualifications Education: Degree from an accredited Medical School. Documented completion of Residency training from an accredited institution. CPR Certification is required. Experience: Board Certification or Board Eligibility. (Board certification must be attained within the timeframe dictated by one's specialty in order to remain on staff at the CS-HHC if one was originally board-eligible at the time of one's hire.) Connecticut Licensure. Admitting privileges at Yale-New Haven Hospital, HSR, and/or Griffin Hospital as indicated. Why Join Us
