GWU Social Media Intern

This role can also be completed for academic credit, depending on your program's requirements.

Role Snapshot Capture and shape day-to-day GWU stories. You film, edit, pitch ideas, and jump in as on-camera talentall under guidance from the Social Media Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Film dorm tours, student takeovers, event recaps, and Q&A segments
• Edit short-form video with captions, music, and hooks optimized for each platform
• Assist with event logistics (camera gear, lighting, setup)
• Post content on schedule and monitor basic metrics
• Contribute fresh concepts in weekly planning sessions

What You'll Need

• At least one semester completed at GWU
• Working knowledge of mobile video editing apps
• Reliability for 7.5 hrs/week and campus event coverage
• Willingness to appear on camera when needed
