JOB SUMMARY We are lookingfor a friendly, professional Room Service Attendant to join our hotel's Food and Beverage team. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for serving guests their room service orders with delivery and pickup to their rooms and public areas of the hotel. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Operational Responsibilities
Contribute positively to the team within the department
Prepare for any/all guest requests
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotel's needs
Display working knowledge of all menu items and prices
Complete side work as assigned
Respond to the needs and requests of guests immediately
Answering phones and taking orders or receiving orders from hotel operator
Set up trays with proper condiments and utensils
Deliver orders and amenities to guest rooms
Pick up trays from guest rooms
Keep work areas clean and organized
Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees
Communicates effectively with others
Works productively with a team
Contributes to team results.
Well-groomed, professional appearance and demeanor.
Contribute positively to the team within the department
Prepare for all guest requests
Comply with Valencia Hotel Collection (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

Maintain knowledge of hotel services and amenities to assist guests with inquiries.
Provide personalized service by engaging with guests, learning their preferences, and making recommendations.
Greet guests promptly, ensure timely delivery of food and beverages, and practice core service standards on every interaction.
Always maintain a professional and welcoming demeanor to enhance the guest experience.
Ensure your area is always clean and organized.
Team Support and Training
Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
Attend in monthly Food and Beverage Meetings.
Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on menu items, service standards, and company policies.
Communication and Reporting
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
Report any incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to management.
Safety & Compliance
Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Report unsafe conditions to your supervisor immediately
Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions
Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Wear required non-slip footwear to prevent slips and falls.
Comply with local and state laws regarding alcohol service, including verifying guest identification when necessary.
BASICS
Looking for flexibility with morning or evening shifts.
Warmly welcoming and creating a refined, inviting bar atmosphere
Display courteous behavior with guests and team members
Following all opening, shift, and closing procedures
Maintain a polish and well-organized work areas
Perform any additional duties assigned by the supervisor
Must be familiar with cash handling procedures to include proper discounting, Tabit system, bank procedures and tip policies
Must be able to complete a checklist every shift.
Weekly rehearsals to upkeep standards will be administered and utilized.
Physical Requirements
Sitting: Not applicable
Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift and carry trays, glassware, and supplies (up to 50 lbs if applicable)
Other Physical Requirements: Frequent bending, reaching, and light lifting required.
Working Environment
Interior: Operating primarily inside the hotel.
Exterior: Comfortable working outdoors if needed.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High school or equivalent education required.
Ability to follow safety guidelines
Handling difficult customers or complaints with professionalism.
Multitasking effectively in a fast-paced environment
Effective time management and problem-solving skills
Certification of completion in TABC and Food Handler
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to hotel guests and visitors in accordance with standard recipes and hotel guidelines.
Follows guidelines established with regards to age identification for suspected minors and when dealing with an intoxicated customer
Education and Experience
Communicate effectively with others
Works productively with a team
Effective multitasking skills
Composure and patience under pressure
High school or equivalent education required.
TABC and Food Handler's certificates
