Description
Job Title
Performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities. Meets all established key performance indicator (KPI) requirements.
Qualifications
Education: An associate degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) in Biomedical Engineering Technology, or degree in electronic engineering technology with related experience in repairs and troubleshooting of medical equipment or equivalent military or technical training or, CBET certification required.
Experience: Minimum three years of experience working in hospital Biomedical/Clinical Engineering department required. Five to eight years of experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC, State, Local)
License/Certification: Professional Certification preferred (CBET, CRES, CLES, CABT, CHTM, PMP, AWSCSAA, CISSP, CAN, MLT, CRCST) and/or other professional certifications as deemed pertinent by the hiring director.
Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patient.
