Job Summary:Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is seeking a skilled Senior Cook to join our culinary team in our Wheelhouse Restaurant. If you are committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences, we encourage you to apply today!Responsibilities:* Prepares and cooks a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.* Assists in monitoring products in the freezer, walk-ins, and storerooms, ensuring freshness rotation and availability.* Maintains a constant awareness of safety and accident prevention, performing all job duties in the safest possible manner.* Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient preparation of all menu items during busy service hours.* Monitors the cleanliness of kitchen equipment and performs "clean as you go"* Complies with all departmental rules, side work assignments and departmental procedures.* Remains up to date on all departmental policies and procedures* Ensures thorough communication between shifts* Other duties as assignedExperience Requirements:* Proven experience working as a cook in a fast-paced restaurant, hotel or Casino* Knowledge of food safety, sanitation regulations* Reliable self-starter with an open mind and a positive attitude.* Excellent communication skills* Flexibility to works a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, as neededPhysical Requirements:* Prolonged periods of standing and working in the kitchen* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.The above duties and responsibilities are representative.
