NEW CONCEPTS FOR LIVING (NCFL) MISSION:
NCFL is dedicated to enriching the lives of adults with special needs through caring and compassionate support within a nurturing environment that promotes independence, growth, and inclusion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following but are not limited to):
  • Experience working with adults with I/DD preferred, or experience treating individuals with physical, cognitive, and psychological ailments
  • Competence in administering and interpreting standardized assessments
  • Supervise COTA(s)
  • Evaluate and treat clients
  • Timely completion of recertifications, progress notes, and discharge summaries
  • Adapting and modifying the course of treat as indicated
  • Communicate with supports coordinator to promote implementation of recommendations in home and community settings
  • Developing treatment plans in line with ISPs
  • Educate staff on recommendation to be performed outside of therapy sessions
  • Adheres to DDD guidelines for habilitative and rehabilitative therapy services
  • Follows directive from Clinical Director
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Work with healthcare providers to ensure effective client care and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as needed
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • Current state licensure in Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience occupational therapy; preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities (special needs)
  • Strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives
  • Experience with Foothold AWARDS preferred
