This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with suppliers, lead corrective actions, and prevent issues before they impact the floor. If you prefer solving problems at the root instead of reacting to them, this is your lane. This position is on-site daily in Bluffton, IN.

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Short-term disability fully company-paid
  • Optional long-term disability coverage
  • Life and AD&D insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid time off and holidays

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or supplier engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA
  • Experience leading root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why) and corrective actions
  • Ability to evaluate and qualify suppliers through audits and capability assessments
  • Experience managing supplier nonconformances from containment through closure
  • Comfortable working in both office and manufacturing environments

Must haves:

  • Must be able to independently conduct supplier audits, issue supplier corrective actions, interpret SPC data, and drive supplier quality issues from containment through verified corrective action closure.
  • Analyze supplier metrics (PPM, OTIF) and drive measurable improvement
  • Reduce incoming inspection reliance by improving supplier capability
  • Work directly with suppliers to improve cost, quality, and lead time using Lean/Six Sigma tools

Preferred Background & Skills:

  • Experience in metal manufacturing, stamping, or industrial environments
  • Familiarity with ERP/QMS systems and supplier documentation control
  • Strong understanding of inspection methods and measurement tools
  • Experience supporting warranty or field failure investigations
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or formal continuous improvement training
