Classification: Full-Time, 10-month position Start Date:August 2026 Schedule: 7:20 a.m. - 3:20 p.m., Some weekend and evening work may be required Reports To: Director of Library and Media Services

What You Will Do

Instruction & Collaboration

  • Design and facilitate engaging learning experiences that build media and information literacy
  • Use innovative instructional strategies that foster critical thinking and creativity
  • Collaborate with faculty to align learning objectives, assessments, and research skills to support media and information literacy
  • Empower students to become ethical users of information and enthusiastic readers
  • Partner with K-12 library staff to enhance library services across divisions

Library Program Management

  • Create welcoming physical and digital library spaces that support inquiry and collaboration
  • Curate and maintain a balanced, relevant library collection
  • Manage cataloging, inventory, and collection development

Student Support & Engagement

  • Foster a love of reading through programming, displays, and daily interactions
  • Support students with research, technology use, and independent reading
  • Encourage student voice, choice, and curiosity

Technology Integration

  • Support the use of digital tools, databases, and media resources
  • Guide students in the effective and ethical use of information
  • Collaborate with academic technology coordinators to integrate digital tools and media resources into instruction

Professional Growth & Leadership

  • Provide professional development for faculty on emerging tools and resources
  • Share best practices and trends in media and information literacy
  • Contribute actively to the broader school community

What You Bring

Education

  • Master's degree in Library Media, Library and Information Science, or related field

Experience

Required:

  • Proficiency with educational technology, digital resources, and library systems

Preferred:

  • Classroom teaching experience
  • School library experience
  • Experience working with lower school students

Skills & Competencies

  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to working across disciplines
  • Strong communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
