Purpose Test Conductor II shall be responsible for planning, conducting, and analyzing vehicle level tests in multiple modalities and geographic locations. This includes preparing readiness validation procedures for new scopes such as drawbridges, freeways, or surface street strandings, snow procedures, to ensure autonomous vehicle safety on public roads. Test Conductor will work closely with engineers, managers, and researchers to create and improve test plans and report results and will lead a team to execute field tests and troubleshoot issues. Learn customer test objectives, ensure test objectives are well defined, and communicate objectives to test team
Develop test plans and procedures based upon customers' needs and processes involved
Lead a team of vehicle operators and test assistants to safely execute field tests and ensure test objectives are achieved
Analyze test and scenario data once tests are complete
Troubleshoot hardware, software, car, test execution issues and escalate accordingly
Communicate test progress and status
Escalate all safety concerns

Develop work descriptions based upon customers' needs and knowledge of the processes involved
Develop and coordinate project budgets and proposals based upon customer objectives and supporting BU inputs

Assist test engineers and technical operations in accomplishing project tasks
Make technical decisions with minimal supervision
Present proposals and report test results before customer representatives

Identify and implement improvements to existing workflows and test procedures
Build automation scripts to reduce schedule time and resources for recurring tests
Create and maintain dashboards to display results and status. Generate and present concise test reports highlighting areas of strength and weakness.
Support TRC Inc.'s Quality and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) efforts
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or the following
Ability to demonstrate high level analysis of testing date, with the ability to setup test equipment and understand basic vehicle circuits.
Ability to demonstrate high level debugging skills, mechanical understanding of actuators/sensors, and ability to build terminal commands
Ability to demonstrate a high-level knowledge of autonomous sensors and bas vehicle systems.
Must have a minimum of 1 year of Test Conductor 1 experience.
2+ years technical testing and system validation experience preferred
Basic understanding of data acquisition systems and instrumentation
Familiarity with vehicle systems and subsystems
Excellent organizational and communication skills
General knowledge of computers, including, G-suite programs, basic script writing and troubleshooting, word processing and data analysis software
Proficient in technical report writing
Proficient project management skills
Flexibility with work hours during busy test periods.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
Ability to travel (up to 50%)
Ability to complete and pass all internal, position specific job and safety trainings required
Valid state DMV issued or valid foreign country issued driver's license
Working conditions
Standard office, climate controlled environment
Some travel is required
May be exposed to temperatures below 0 degree and above 95 degrees
May be exposed to inclement weather
May be exposed to hazardous chemicals, such as gas, oil, and paint
Physical requirements
Ability to move objects weighing up to 25 - 50 pounds
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time
