Description

A healthcare facility in the New Orleans area is seeking a Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position. This contract offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment with a focus on cardiovascular and medical intensive care units. Location:

Near Kenner, LA (East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie)

Schedule/Hours:

Day shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Every other week (EOW)

Responsibilities:

Provide expert clinical pharmacy services in the Cardiovascular ICU and Medical ICU2
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy for critically ill patients
Utilize the EPIC EMR system to document and manage patient care
Participate in medication regimen reviews, clinical rounds, and interventions pertinent to critical care

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of recent experience as a Critical Care/Clinical Pharmacist with Level 1 trauma exposure required
PGY-2 residency preferred but not mandatory
Valid Louisiana pharmacist license (in-hand)
Board Certification in Pharmacy Practice or Critical Care preferred, but not required
Ability to work with EPIC EMR system is essential
