Special Education Teacher

Adelphi is seeking Special Education Teachers to serve in Greenville County, South Carolina, providing specialized instruction and support for students with learning disabilities and multi-categorical needs. Openings are available at both the middle and elementary school levels.

Shift Schedule: 40 hours per week (full-time) or 20 hours per week (half-time, depending on assignment)

Start Date: ASAP

Rate: $30/hr

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain)
• Special Education endorsement/certification for Learning Disabilities (LD) or Multi-categorical (multi-categorical preferred; LD acceptable)
• Completion of a teacher preparation program with student teaching
• Background check and fingerprinting clearance

Responsibilities:

• Adapt and deliver instruction to meet each student's unique needs and IEP goals
• Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in compliance with IDEA and SC state standards
• Monitor and assess student progress using data-driven instruction
• Collaborate with general education staff to promote inclusion and accessibility
• Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
• Maintain organized and accurate records of student performance and services provided
• Employ a variety of instructional strategies and tools, including technology, to enhance learning
• Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students with disabilities
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives and special projects as assigned
• Any other duties as assigned.
