Job Summary
The MRI Technologist performs all MRI procedures in accordance with established department policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. Participates in on-call rotation.
Key responsibilities include performing all magnetic resonance imaging procedures according to established department protocols, accepting assignments from supervisor in a positive manner, restocking and maintaining assigned work area/equipment in an orderly fashion, performing visual maintenance checks on all equipment used, communicating with hospital staff and physicians in the performance of MR procedures, demonstrating competency in performing all procedures, and contributing to a positive work environment and demonstrating teamwork.
Core accountabilities include executing job responsibilities with the understanding of how output would affect and impact other areas related to own job area/team, analyzing moderately complex problems using technical experience and judgment, having expanded knowledge gained through experience within a professional area, and providing informal guidance and support to team members.
Position qualifications include relevant work experience, a graduate of an approved discipline specific program, and a certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
