Server Engineer

The Server Engineer will be part of a talented team that demonstrates superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. You will be responsible for assisting in the build out, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our rapidly changing infrastructure while leveraging PowerShell scripting to facilitate automation of business process. You will have the opportunity to leverage your skills to drive continuous improvement and automation throughout our environment. Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis. Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency, lower the human intervention time on any tasks and automate repetitive tasks
• Custom PowerShell programming and automation for Oracle Cloud Integration to AD
• ADFS server management and configuration and support of Single Sign-On
• Maintain and ensure availability of our Windows file server environment
• Office 365 automation, administration, configuration, and support including Archiving and Discovery functions
• Work with Legal on eDiscovery requests
• Work with security to architect end user and infrastructure security enhancements
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Travel to company locations within current and future markets as needed
• Recommend and evaluate new technologies and opportunities for improvement
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or other relevant degree program preferred
• 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Server Administration, PowerShell Scripting, or other relevant areas
• Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting virtualization / containerized, Windows and/or UNIX/Linux based environments.
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS
• Experience with monitoring systems
• Experience with or knowledge of automation software
