Description
Rewinder Operator
Adecco is partnering with a leading packaging manufacturing company committed to delivering high‑quality products through safe, efficient, and reliable production processes. We value teamwork, attention to detail, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate rewinder and related converting equipment according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Set up, adjust, and monitor rewinder machines to ensure proper tension, alignment, and roll quality.
Inspect finished rolls for defects, ensuring products meet quality and customer specifications.
Accurately document production data, roll counts, scrap, and downtime.
Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to leadership and maintenance.
Follow all safety, GMP, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work collaboratively with press operators, quality, and warehouse teams to meet production goals.
Assist with material handling, roll changes, and packaging of finished product as needed.
Support other production areas and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
Experience operating industrial machinery or converting equipment a strong plus.
Familiarity with quality checks, measurements, and production documentation preferred.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to monitor quality and identify defects.
Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and adjust production equipment.
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions accurately.
Comfortable working with computers and production tracking systems.
Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and documentation.
Ability to work safely around moving equipment in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to support production goals.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Additional Requirements:
Reliable attendance and commitment to safety procedures.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
Flexibility to work overtime and/or alternate shifts based on business needs.
