CNC Technician

Toyoda Gosei Texas (located in San Antonio, TX) has an opening for a Tool Room Technician in the Interior/Exterior Plastics Department. The Tool Room Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, constructing, and managing tools, dies, molds, fixtures, and related equipment used in manufacturing operations. The role ensures tools are available, functional, and meet production and quality requirements for production within Toyoda Gosei Texas (TGTX).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Required Education, Experience, and Skills Certifications and Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent years of experience is required
Experience
1 to 4 years of experience in tool room operations or a machinist environment is required
Proficiency in Manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, EDM)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of safety protocols and proper tool/machine handling
Understanding of metallic materials, cutting tools and machining processes
Experience with dimensional metrology, including GD&T
Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is preferred
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Technology Competencies
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2016 or newer is required
Experience with CAM/CAD software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, EZ CAM, HSM Works)
Proficiency on Haas CNC machines
