Court Reporter
Under general supervision performs work of considerable difficulty in making verbatim stenographic records of legal proceedings and transcribing same; performs related work as assigned.
INCENTIVES: Relocation assistance up to $2,000.00 60 hours banked vacation to beused immediately. $1500.00 bonus at the beginning of employment and $1500.00 after one year of hire. 2% incentive pay for other certifications such as Merit, Real Time Certification, and Registered Diplomate Reporter (RDR) The Court will pay the Arizona Certification Renewal Fee every two years during the term of employment. Additional transcript income estimated at $10,000-$20,000.00 per year.
Typical Duties

Essential functions include, but are not limited to: sitting in court or at desk for machine shorthand writing and transcription; working with and around other court staff, clerk's staff, attorneys, defendants and the public; dealing with interruptions from co-workers, phones and unscheduled hearings; repetitive motion hand/wrist for machine shorthand writing and transcription; vision acuity (near / far) for computer and courtroom work; hearing for courtroom testimony, etc.; touch for shorthand, and computer work.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience as a court reporter, OR any combination of education, experience and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Arizona Court Reporting Certification.
