Licensed Practical Nurse Consultant (LPN)

The LPN provides nursing care under the direction of the RN Supervisor, following established protocols and care plans. This role involves performing nursing tasks, administering medications, assisting with individuals assessments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform delegated nursing functions and assist in data collection and update client records, including charts and medication administration records (MAR).
  • Contribute to client care plan development and implementation.
  • Administer medications, including IV therapy (if trained), and monitor individuals responses.
  • Carry out RN and physician orders and evaluate care effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate individuals records and provide timely shift reports.
  • Monitor inventory, ensure adequate supplies, and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members and attend mandatory training.

Qualifications include:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
  • Valid LPN license in Maryland.
  • Ventilator and Trach Experienced (Preferred)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • One year of experience in medical-fragile or surgical nursing preferred.

Working conditions include:

  • Physical tasks including lifting and client support.
  • Exposure to viruses, diseases, and infections.
  • Flexible shifts, including on-call and rotating schedules.
  • Ability to work at multiple facilities as required.

Mon-Sun 6a-2:30p, 2p-10:30p, 10p-6:30a, 8a-4:30p, and many more variations based on the need.
