Description
Clinical Pharmacist
Memorial Hermann TIRR seeks a residency trained clinical pharmacist to join our team. Position will support the clinical pharmacy team by staffing the main pharmacy, rounding with physicians, supporting the outpatient clinic by refilling patient prescriptions, and other projects as assigned. PGY1 is a plus. Board certification will be accepted in lieu of residency. Must be willing to work a varied schedule. Start times can be between 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Will also be included in the on-call rotation every 6 weeks. Position develops, implements, and monitors clinical pharmacy programs to improve patient care with an additional focus on decreasing cost; provides clinical services to patients and professional staff; interacts with medical staff on drug utilization and cost containment. May be asked to assist in supervising the activities of all department employees in consultation with the department Director and/or Pharmacy Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science with equivalent experience or clinically oriented Master of Science degree accepted; Doctorate of Pharmacy degree preferred
