SSD Administrative Business Support Specialist

ProSidian Consulting is looking for a SSD Administrative Business Support Specialist (Full-Time) located in The Hanford Tri-Cities Area (Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) to support an engagement for the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford in Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area.

The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide General Support Services Contractor (GSSC) assistance to support DOE Hanford [which consists of Richland Operations Office (RL), and Office of River Protection (ORP)] in support of the Govt's operations, personnel management, and general administration of regional operations at the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington.

ProSidian Consulting's work includes supporting DOE requirements for consulting support, acquisition support, program/project management support, operational/administrative business support, and environmental consulting support.

It is also ProSidian's duty to protect all classified information, special nuclear material, and other DOE property and work in accordance with DOE security regulations and requirements to maintain responsibility for protecting all classified information and all classified matter (including documents, material and special nuclear material) which are in every Engagement Team Member's possession and in connection with the performance of work under this contract against sabotage, espionage, loss or theft.

SSD Administrative Business Candidates shall work to support requirements as a SSD Administrative Business Support Specialist and provide administrative business support to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Richland Operations Office (RL), Site Stewardship Division (SSD). The RL Site Stewardship Division (SSD) is responsible for defining Hanford's approach to biological resource management and will assist other RL and ORP programs, contractors, and other organizations conducting work on the Hanford Site with interpretation of these guidelines. The SSD oversees monitoring and impact assessment support and tracks performance of mitigation actions.

The SSD Administrative Business Support Specialist shall provide SSD support in the following areas:

  • Assist with the coordination of program and project SSD/Tribal activities and prepare management reports.
  • Track correspondence and action items from program and project meetings.
  • Review and/or prepare responses to correspondence to ensure they are appropriate and consistent with DOE policy.
  • Coordinate subject matter expert (SME) input, analyses, and evaluation in all aspects of Tribal and public input on future land-use planning activities.
  • Provide assistance in the development of project and program documents including research information, review and comment, and provide administration and follow-up on comment resolution.
  • Perform analyses, research, and provide technical writing support in preparing technical documents and white papers in areas such as Management Plans.
  • Assist in developing and analyzing business processes, and develop tools and systems to support identifying and prioritizing current and emerging work.
  • Assist in developing presentation materials, including briefings, white papers, position papers, research documentation, and assessment reports.
  • Organize, track, and facilitate logistics to support internal and external meetings, workshops, training and schedules, and promote ongoing coordination with tribes, state, and federal officials, stakeholders, and the public.
  • Track and coordinate security, dosimetry badges, training requirements, and records for Tribal representatives.
  • Assist SSD in the planning, preparation and completions of projects, annual goals, and reports.
  • Coordinate tours including safety, security, and training requirements.
  • Coordinate monthly SSD activities and track actions.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of tribal sampling and data management plans; development of Management Plans for tribal access and use of cultural protected areas; identify seed collection area(s) and develop protocols.
  • Make recommendations for improving business processes and systems.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating SSD's administrative record.

Qualifications

The SSD Administrative Business Support Specialist shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The SSD Administrative Business Support Specialist shall demonstrate:

  • 3 years of relevant experience.
  • 2-year degree in relevant field of study.
  • Knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities, preferred.
  • Business experience in developing process improvements and using automation tools.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other automation tools.
  • Ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks with dynamic priorities.
  • Ability to interact with diverse parties with multiple, potentially conflicting interests.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds in person and by telephone,
  • Ability to maintain administrative systems (experience developing preferred),
  • Ability to correctly and concisely capture complex ideas in writing,
  • Ability to work with and maintain complex records,
  • Ability to organize, maintain, update, and report action lists,
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills,
  • Knowledge of Federal and agency regulations.
  • Knowledge of pertinent laws, regulation, and policies related to program/operations area to consider their impact on programs, preferred.
  • Skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

TRAVEL: Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.

LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy - Richland Operations Office, The Hanford Site, and Richland, WA.
