Bowling Coach (High School)

Reeths-Puffer High School is seeking a knowledgeable and committed Bowling Coach to lead its high school bowling program. The coach will be responsible for building a competitive program while fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth among student-athletes.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct effective practices focused on skill development and competitive preparation
• Instruct athletes in proper bowling techniques, strategy, and match play
• Organize and supervise all team activities, including practices, meets, and tournaments
• Promote academic success and monitor student-athlete eligibility
• Model and reinforce positive sportsmanship and character
• Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, school staff, and administration
• Manage program logistics, including scheduling, equipment, uniforms, and transportation
• Maintain compliance with all school district policies and Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) rules and regulations
• Oversee assistant coaches (if applicable) and support overall program development

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching experience at the high school or equivalent level preferred
• Competitive bowling experience and strong knowledge of the sport
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and connect with high school student-athletes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all district and state requirements for coaching, including successful background check
