Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Jun 8, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Birth Center in Kennewick, WA, requiring 2 years of OB experience and current fetal monitoring certification. Details Position is located in a Birth Center within a 111-bed teaching hospital serving the Tri-Cities area of southeastern Washington Labor & Delivery department with 6 labor rooms, 3 triage beds, and 11 Mother/Baby rooms Adult OB patient population with a volume of approximately 110 deliveries per month Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM 36 hours per week with 48 weekend hours per month required Floating required to Mother/Baby unit No on-call requirements EHR systems: Centricity and Paragon Requirements Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent acute OB/L&D experience required Required certifications: Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, and NRP (AHA-issued certifications required) OR circulation, Mother/Baby, and triage experience preferred but not required Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate Additional Information Provide labor and delivery nursing care to adult OB patients including triage and monitoring Flexibility and strong communication skills are valued on this unit Scrub colors: blue and blue/green Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Candidates may not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment This is a 13-week travel contract American Traveler Job ID P-706441.
